Hi! Michael and Madeline (Cynthia’s kids) here! Since we pestered her so much to start this podcast, Mom asked us to write the page explaining what the podcast is all about.
Meet Cynthia
Mom is one of those strong-willed people who can do just about anything she sets her mind to do. At an early age, she received God’s free gift of salvation and submitted her will to Christ, to follow Him, and to do His will.

Mom is one of those strong-willed people who can do just about anything she sets her mind to do. At an early age, she received God’s free gift of salvation and submitted her will to Christ, to follow Him, and to do His will.
His path led her across the country from California to Maine, New York to Tennessee, and from Florida to South Carolina.
The Lord guided her into a career teaching at the elementary, high-school and college levels, as well as serving as an elementary school librarian. While she was teaching and completing her master's degree in education, the Lord brought our incredible dad, Mike, into her life and has given them a wonderful marriage of more than 35 years.
When we came along, the Lord directed Mom to give up her academic career to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool us. While academics were obviously important to her, her main goal was for us to know and serve God. A PhD in math and a PhD in science later, we are so thankful for her sacrifice!

For a long time, we asked Mom to record some of her insights on Bible study, Scripture memory, child rearing, homeschooling, marriage, and more so we could refer to them in the future.

For a long time, we asked Mom to record some of her insights on Bible study, Scripture memory, child rearing, homeschooling, marriage, and more so we could refer to them in the future.
Initially, we thought of these recordings as a personal family resource; but in September of 2022, the Lord made it clear to us that we couldn’t keep them to ourselves and should share them publicly.
As a very private person, Mom was initially hesitant. Also, despite her consistent godly character combined with her extensive teaching experience, she felt very underqualified.
Ultimately, after making sure the Lord was really leading her, she agreed and began recording her first podcast.
Our Prayer
We hope that these recordings are as much of a blessing to you as they are to us. We're praying that any listener who does not know Jesus Christ will come to know Him and share in the joy, love, and life which He provides. It is also our prayer that listeners who already know Him will be edified, encouraged, and uplifted. To God be the glory, great things He has done! Great is His faithfulness!
